The story unfolded over the course of a decade via 12 illustrated issues that were collected into graphic novel form in 2005. Set in the ’70s in the Pacific Northwest, Black Hole follows a group of high school kids who contract a mysterious STD known as “the Bug” that causes physical mutations, leaving the community to deal with the fallout.

Plan B will produce alongside Arnon Milchan of New Regency, which is financing the long-gestating project.
